When we agreed to foster Krug, we knew right away he would be completely different from the dogs we had fostered before. Most of our previous foster dogs had been medium or large dogs with huge personalities and even bigger energy levels. Krug, on the other hand, was tiny. The second we met him, it was impossible not to smile. He had these little legs, big eyes, and a personality that somehow seemed way too big for his small body.

Even though he was little, Krug acted like he was the toughest dog in the world. He strutted around the house confidently within days of arriving, acting like he had lived there forever. It was honestly hilarious watching such a tiny dog boss around dogs twice his size. He quickly became the center of attention in our home because everywhere he went, chaos and laughter seemed to follow.

One of the funniest things about Krug was how attached he became to us so quickly. If someone got up from the couch, Krug immediately followed. If someone walked into another room, there he was right behind them. He always wanted to know what everyone was doing. Personal space completely disappeared while fostering him, but honestly, none of us minded.

Unlike some of our previous foster dogs who were nervous or shy at first, Krug loved meeting people. Anytime someone came over to the house, he acted like they were specifically there to visit him. He would run up excitedly, tail wagging so fast it looked like his entire body was shaking. He had a way of making people laugh within minutes of meeting him.

Of course, fostering Krug still came with challenges. Because he was so small, we constantly worried about him slipping through tiny spaces or trying to jump off furniture way taller than he was. We quickly learned we had to keep a much closer eye on him than we expected. He definitely kept us busy.

What made Krug so special was how much happiness he brought into the house. After fostering dogs with difficult medical issues or heartbreaking pasts, Krug brought a completely different kind of energy into our lives. He reminded us that fostering is not only about helping dogs heal, but also about enjoying the personalities and memories they bring into your home.

Even though Krug was tiny, he left a huge impact on all of us. He filled our home with laughter, energy, and constant entertainment every single day he was with us. Some foster dogs leave paw prints on your floor, but Krug definitely left paw prints on our hearts too.
