Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m Sophia Bruno, a third-year student at Roger Williams University. While my academic life is centered on Communication and Media Studies (with a deep dive into Sports Studies and Criminal Justice), my heart belongs to the world of animal rescue.

As a collegiate softball player at RWU, I’ve learned that everything comes down to teamwork and resilience. I’ve taken those lessons off the field and into my home as a dog foster advocate.

I started this blog to document the highs, the lows, and the “zoomies” that come with fostering. For me, fostering isn’t just about providing a temporary bed; it’s about using my background in media and storytelling to give a louder voice to those who can’t speak for themselves. By sharing these experiences, I hope to demystify the fostering process and encourage others to take a chance on a shelter dog.
